The sweetest family of hawks delighted the audience this week, as our youngest students took the stage! Dressed in fabulous feathers, pre-k students brought to life a heartwarming story about a family of hawks who live in the Pine Grove. When winter’s chill sets in, they decide to try life as snow birds, seeking warmth in distant lands. Though happy with their warm and lovely destinations, they soon realize how deeply they miss their home at DCD and dream of returning. With the arrival of spring, they journey back, only to discover their beloved Lowell Center reduced to a pile of rubble. They quickly learn, however, of the new, glorious theater being constructed, and our family of hawks, overjoyed, come together to help build the new theater with great teamwork and determination!
Confidently delivering their lines they worked so hard to memorize, and with a fabulous song for their finale, pre-k students wowed the audience with their fantastic performance!
Thanks and congratulations to all of our incredible pre-k performers, as well as to all of our wonderful parents for their help in learning lines! Thanks to Mrs. Jackson and to Mrs. Swan for narrating the play and helping craft the scenery, to Ms. Rothwell for the beautiful hawk costumes, Ms. Snow for the beautiful music, and thanks to Ms. Sidoli for another fabulous class play!
