Congratulations to all of our middle school artists showcased during the DCD Middle School Arts Gallery Week! For the entirety of last week, The Lowell Center was transformed into a beautiful gallery featuring over 400 pieces of student artwork. It was a truly impressive collection created by middle school students in various art electives, spanning a wide range of mediums— including ceramics, woodworking, prints, watercolors, fabric, light boxes, puppets, and sculptures, and the exhibit highlighted the incredible talents of our young artists.

Arts Gallery Week culminated in the annual Middle School Arts Reception, held on Thursday evening in the Lowell Center, where students and family members gathered to celebrate the artistic achievements of the year, strolling through the gallery and admiring the masterpieces on display.

Select students had the opportunity to present their works and share insights into their creative processes, including Jack Hawkom and Lindy Tshuka who presented selections from printmaking, Henry Tsipis, who shared woodworking pieces, Mae Barbuto Pelletreau and Kimaya Agrawal who presented a selection of ceramics pieces, and Sanjana Hwang, who shared some graphic design work.

Congratulations once again to our young artists on a very impressive collection of work, and thank you for sharing your creativity, artistic expression and talents with the DCD community!
