The physical education program for students in Pre-K and Kindergarten focuses on movement education and skill development. Individual skill levels are acknowledged and built upon in a noncompetitive and cooperative atmosphere. Students are asked to perform certain skills that involve eye-hand and eye-foot coordination. The skills and the problems that students must solve increase in difficulty as the year progresses.
Students have physical education three days out of a six-day rotation for 30 minutes. Activities covered throughout the year include tag and cooperative games, body awareness activities, tumbling and gymnastics, and ball skills with a variety of different equipment.
