Susan Shirley

My favorite part about DCD is the community.

Before coming to DCD, I spent my summers as assistant director at the Ashokan Outdoor Ed summer camp and during the school year, I developed and taught various programs at the Science Museum of Long Island. During my tenure at DCD, I have taught science to all grades (except Pre-K), coached field hockey and softball in the Middle School, and served as Head of Lower School for 12 years. I am especially interested in teaching students about biology, ecosystems, and geology.
