My favorite thing about DCD is its focus on providing a balanced, child-centered education prioritizing social and emotional development as well as academics, arts, and athletics.

Teaching is literally in my blood. Both of my parents were teachers as is my only sibling, and I married a teacher too. I’ve taught the upper elementary grades for over twenty years in both public and independent schools. I love teaching fifth grade and fostering a growth mindset in my students. I’m also interested in exploring best practices in elementary math instruction and in supporting DCD’s efforts towards increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
