Extended Day Teacher, Lower School Science Teacher

My favorite thing about DCD is the meaningful relationships with others in our school community.

This is my second year here at DCD. This year I will be teaching Science, Learning Specialist and Extended Day Program. I have a 13 year old son who is in 8th grade. In my free time, I like spending time with my family, practicing yoga, swimming, taking photos of people and natural environments, cooking and gardening.I began teaching as an Inclusion Special Needs Assistant in Newton Public Schools for 5 years and as a counselor at The Chestnut Hill School during the summers. I then went on to teach at The Chestnut Hill School for 10 years before my husband and I (6 weeks pregnant) moved to Ohio for 2.5 years, then Indiana for 2.5 years, before moving back to Massachusetts. I continued to teach at The Suzuki School of Music Preschool until 2020. Since my son would be home for 3 days per week, I opened a remote learning pod for 10 families at my home 2020-2021. I am happy to find a place here at DCD to continue my teaching career.
