Heather Thornhill

My favorite thing about DCD is the wonderfully varied experiences children are exposed to here, and how deliberately the school nurtures empathy and a sense of responsibility to others.

For nearly twenty years, I’ve focused my career on improving the U.S. healthcare delivery system. I have worked across state and federal government, academic health systems, and industry. I spent over a decade at CVS Health leading product strategy and development efforts across several of the company’s healthcare businesses, developing and scaling new models of care. Currently, I serve as Chief of Staff for McKinsey & Company’s Center for US Healthcare Improvement, where I coordinate the Center’s research focused on improving the affordability, quality, and accessibility of healthcare. I will continue this work while at DCD, and I’m excited for the opportunity to contribute to the community my own family calls home while supporting the students, families, and faculty who make it so special.
