On Monday, November 19, DCD Dedham Country Day School donated 25 Thanksgiving baskets complete with all the fixings for a wonderful holiday meal for families in need of some extra help at this time of year.

Filling these baskets is a month-long project that involves the entire DCD community-students, parents, and teachers. Everyone donates an item to the food drive, including pies, canned goods, and beverages along with homemade apple bread baked by our first and second graders.

DCD middle school students collected all the baskets from around the school and corralled them into the front lobby where fresh pies and breads were added as the finishing touches. Finally, they loaded all 25 baskets into the vans for distribution to local families through the Dedham Youth Commission.
