It was a beautiful fall afternoon for the 10th Annual Larz Anderson Invitational Cross Country Meet hosted by the Park School on Thursday, October 12th. DCD’s cross country team was well represented at this middle school running extravaganza! Girls and boys teams from 15 area schools totaling 270 runners competed in the race.
DCD runners strived for their personal bests as they charged up and down the hills of this challenging course, each one finishing strong! Seventh grader Jack Connors earned a medal for third place with a time of 13:59 minutes after competing against 156 other boy runners! Coach Harrington, Coach Jackson, and Ms. Webster, along with a host of parent supporters, dotted the course and finishing line to cheer on our runners. Don’t let the individual nature of this race fool you, though—camaraderie, teamwork, strategy, and support are very much a part of this DCD athletic team experience.
