Whether in DCD’s Private Music Program or in the classroom, students from pre-k to grade 8 have been exercising their musical muscle. December often brings several opportunities for students to share their hard work with whole community.
Scott Miller’s guitar students kicked-off the holiday season at a recent morning assembly. The energy and excitement of the audience was palpable, breaking into song whether it was a new musician on stage or a veteran student.
Winter break began after DCD’s traditional holiday assembly where we celebrated the season with performances from the string ensemble, lower- and middle-school choruses and bands, and pre-k to grade 3 music classes. Enjoy a sample of some of these performances.
