DCD Middle School students received six awards at the annual SISAL (Small Independent School Art League) juried show, including an award for Best in Show for the digital photograph by Angela Giordano and Charlotte Epker, “Hanging Lamps.”
Three additional first place awards went to Molly King in the mixed media category for her mosaic, “Elephant,” Ana Canning in the wood category for her Shaker box, and Isabella Collins in the metalsmithing category for her bracelet. Campbell Resnick received second place in the woodworking category for his rustic bench, and Pat Shiel received an honorable mention for his drawing, “Lunchtime.”
All the work entered by DCD students is on display at Cape Cod Academy. The awards ceremony will take place on April 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
