DCD Music Teacher Ms. Lien recently performed with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project in conjunction with Odyssey Opera at Jordan Hall, at the New England Conservatory of Music where she is an alumnus (M.M. Saxophone performance). In the concert, Ms. Lien played tenor and baritone saxophones, clarinet and bass clarinet, performing two Gershwin political musicals from the 1930’s: Of Thee I Sing, and Let ‘Em Eat Cake.

In her words, “I had a wonderful time performing such stellar music with a world class orchestra. As a multi-instrumentalist and music educator, I believe professional performances not only enrich my passion for music and creativity but also models the artist as a teacher for our students.”

We are very proud of our faculty’s dedication to their professional work both in and out of the classroom, and we are so fortunate to have such talented faculty to enrich our DCD community. Congratulations on a great performance, Ms. Lien!
