Nine Middle School students—five Seventh Graders and four Eighth Graders received recognition for their performance on the 2013 National Latin Exam. The awards were announced at an all-school assembly on May 13.
Seventh Graders took the Introduction to Latin Exam. Tess Huckaby, Mira Mashali, and Jacquie Nagode were recognized for “Excellent Performance,” and Ana Canning and Connor Glynn received recognition for “Outstanding Performance.”
Eighth Graders took the Latin I Exam. Shay McQueenie earned the distinction of “Cum Laude” and Teddy Beaudoin, Katie Giordano, and Shira Hornstein received “Summa Cum Laude.”
The forty-five minute exam is open to independent and public school students who are enrolled in a Latin course or have completed one during the current academic year.
