Last Friday, DCD welcomed over 375 grandparents and special friends to our campus. From Pre-K to grade 8, classrooms were bursting at the seams as grandparents and special friends had an opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a student at Dedham Country Day.
The students were so excited to share their school with their loved ones. From taking on grammar challenges in Mr. Edie’s English class to smoothing out the wood top of a rustic bench with fine grit sandpaper in the woodshop, to experiencing choice time in pre-k, to molding play-dough in claymation class, our visitors were just as engaged as our students…though by 10:30 a.m., many of them were ready for their recess in the Rand Gym which was transformed into a very large café!
Thank you to all the grandparents who made the trip to DCD and to all the parent volunteers who helped make this day so much fun for all the grandparents, friends and students.
