The Lowell Center was alive with sights and sounds during the Lower School Visual and Performing Arts assembly on March 13, the Friday before DCD began its March break.
Students presented a selection of their artwork and woodworking pieces, sharing both finished works and highlights from the creative process. The Lower School Band got the audience grooving with a few jazz tunes and there were wonderful performances from the Lower School Chamber Ensemble, the Grade Three Xylophone Ensemble, and the Recorder Ensemble made up of students from Grades One and Two. With costumes and a ton of charisma, the 4/5 Chorus wrapped up the assembly with some lively singing and acting as they performed selections from Bye, Bye, Birdie.
Thank you to all of our student presenters, performers, and teachers for providing such a wonderful event to kick off our spring break
