One of my favorite things about DCD is the incredible partnership between the families and educators. Everyone is so invested in the success of DCD learners! I love to be a part of the community where each child is seen, understood, supported, and challenged.

One of my biggest passions as an early elementary educator is literacy. As a first grade teacher, we are building the foundation for avid reading and purposeful writing. I have attended six summer institutes at the Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project, honing my skills as a literacy teacher and I can’t get enough! I also benefited greatly from attending Harvard’s Project Zero Classroom in 2013 and have worked to incorporate thinking routines and visual thinking strategies into the classroom.
