My favorite thing about DCD is the students!
I started my career teaching 6th grade English, so I have finally come full circle after eight years of teaching 5th grade and three years in various substitute teaching roles. I am fascinated by the science behind learning, and so I endeavor to design my teaching around new research in neuroscience and cognitive development. I’m also passionate about the learning that happens outside of the traditional classroom space, and some of my favorite memories as an educator have taken place while traveling with students in Costa Rica and South Africa.
