For several weeks now, our halls have been adorned with beautiful Shaker pieces created by DCD students in the woodshop under the artistic direction of Gerry Clifford.  This extensive exhibit was made possible by many of our alumni who graciously loaned us the pieces they created in the various Shaker woodworking classes they took during their time here at DCD.  The next stop for this collection will be The Art Complex Museum in Duxbury Massachusetts, where these pieces will become a part of the “Shaker Works Then and Now: Youthful Interpretations of the Shaker Form Exhibit, February 22-May 17, 2015.  Click here for a photo and video view of the collection.
