A huge animal lover, seventh grader Ethan Rosensweig has been baking and selling dog treats in support of the Animal Rescue League of Boston for his ”Mitzvah Project” with DCD Community Outreach.

Ethan and his pal Max (with a little help from their moms) created Rescue Bones, a healthy canine snack made of pumpkin, peanut butter, banana and cinnamon, all rolled in liver dust (every dog’s favorite ingredient). One hundred percent of the profits are being used to buy “wish list” supplies that will make animals at the ARL shelter happier and more comfortable. Ethan is having a doggone good time working on his Mitzvah project, and his dog, CJ, is really enjoying it, too.
