Filmmaker Nick Papps ’95 showed a recent film he made about the Fairbanks House along with a compilation of his recent work at morning assembly on September 29.

Alumni Association President Erin Keith Epker ’86, introduced Nick, who does music videos and many other types of films. His film on pottery making recently won a prize.

He answered questions from students and talked about his experience at DCD. Asked if any class he took at DCD related to his work today, he mentioned Mr. Coakley’s class in animation.

“DCD is unique in offering so many choices in the arts,” he said. “Encouraging students to pursue their passion is what really sets it apart from other schools.”

After the assembly, he reconnected with former teachers and then was a guest lecturer in an iMovie class, where he spent some time talking about rapidly increasing changes in technology.
