Results of the New England Math League Contest were announced at morning assembly on May 13.

Each year all students in Grades 4 through 7 take the exam. In Grades 4 and 5 they have 30 minutes to answer 30 questions, and in Grades 6 and 7 they have 30 minutes to answer 35 questions.

The math questions on the test are conceptual, testing students’ ability to think through problems rather than memorize algorithms.

All students receive a certificate and the top scorer in each grade also receives a book.
