A group of 10 student teachers visited DCD from the Early Childhood Education Program at Showa Boston, a satellite campus of the Showa Women’s University in Tokyo.
Each winter, students from the Tokyo campus visit Boston, tour area schools and complete a practicum at a local Boston school. They visited DCD along with their Japanese translator and program coordinator. In addition to observing the Pre-K – grade 2 classrooms, they explored the wood shop, art studios, music room, and gym.
