Eighth-grader Hannah Peters received First Prize in the printmaking category and Best in Show overall at this year’s SISAL (Small Independent School Arts League) exhibit held at Dexter-Southfield School April 17-26.
DCD joined fourteen other independent schools in submitting the best examples of their students’ artwork to the annual multi-school, juried art exhibition, which featured work in 11 categories.
DCD submitted 37 pieces of artwork from 29 middle school students and received 12 awards in the following categories: printmaking, mixed media, fiber arts, ceramics, woodworking, and metalsmithing.
