A Hallowed DCD Tradition

Ask any DCD student or teacher what day generates the most excitement and anticipation, and they will tell you October 31st! Yes – even the teachers love it. The annual Halloween parade and assembly arrived with it’s usual fanfare. There were ghosts, goblins, super heros, fairy tale characters, some wild turkeys, and special appearances from Bruno Mars and Princess Fiona. 

Pre-k and kindergarten students treated families, students, and teachers packing the Rand Gym to a selection of spooky Halloween songs. “Things that Go Bump in the Night,” a DCD community all-time favorite song, brought the assembly to a rousing close. It was a great send-off to a night of trick or treating and Halloween cheer!
