Nicole Solimini
About
Nicole Solimini, PhD, is a cancer biologist and scientific leader with nearly two decades of experience advancing cancer research and translational medicine. She serves as Scientific Director of the David Liposarcoma Research Initiative at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she oversees a multi-institutional research program, directs collaborative teams, and works to translate discoveries into new therapies for patients. Throughout her career, Nicole has managed diverse research portfolios, mentored scientists and students, and spoken at national and international conferences on innovative approaches to cancer treatment.
At DCD, Nicole has been an active volunteer for more than eight years, serving as an Annual Fund Ambassador, Class Parent, Library Volunteer, Admissions Volunteer, Chair of the Community Outreach Committee, and sits on the Advancement Committee. She has also spoken at the All-School Assembly to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and participated in numerous school functions. Nicole and her husband, Mark, live in Milton with their twin sons, Tyler (DCD ’27) and Mason (DCD ’27).
Education
Nicole earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology from Harvard Medical School.
