My favorite thing about DCD is the people!
I’ve spent the majority of my career in the education and nonprofit sectors. I have focused my work on delivering research and professional development workshops and presentations for students, parents, and educators in areas critical to teaching youth in the 21st century, such as STEAM, leadership, politics, and business. I have also spoken nationwide at schools and conferences on a variety of issues related to the healthy development of adolescents; topics include girls and stress, the role of parents in children’s lives, engaging students in social enterprise, using social media for social good, assessing girls’ implicit attitudes towards math, sparking girls’ interest in finance, and raising the next generation of leaders.
I am also the Founder of Moms as Mentors, a leadership and bonding program for mothers and daughters, and co-founder of Invest in Girls, a financial literacy program started by a group of Boston businesswomen.
