Leslie Bowen
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?"
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

DCD's annual celebration of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. took place on Friday, January 15, with children of all ages engaging in various community service projects.
  • Third graders made bookmarks to go along with books and other items included in gift bags for children at the Italian Home in Boston.
  • Fourth graders learned about animals at the Dedham branch of the Animal Rescue League.
  • Fifth graders used GarageBand on the computer to make books on tape for students at St. Francis of Assisi in Braintree.
  • Middle School students made Valentines for residents of Brookdale Assisted Living in Dedham.
Students learned that small acts of kindness make a big difference in the lives of others.
