LEADER IN TRAINING (LIT)

The Leader-in-Training program is for campers entering 8th grade that want to have a fun summer developing their leadership skills, creating self-confidence, and making new friendships. LITs will use their skills to help support DCDC staff and interact with children in our Day Camp.

LITs will be rotated among camper groups and specialty areas every week during the summer to experience the different aspects of camp. The LITs will be carefully placed in the area where we feel they will be most successful.

The LITs are supervised by our Camp Director and Assistant Directors. The Directors works closely with each of the LITs to provide supervision and training.

LITs will still have the benefit of a traditional summer camp experience in addition to working closely with DCDC staff and campers to create a unique and memorable summer for all. Our program aims to balance the transition from being a camper to being a leader at DCDC and is designed to help them make that transition as the summer progresses.

Fee: Week 1 prorated (no camp July 3rd) $320/week
Weeks 2-8: $400/week
